Summer Spotlight Camp FAQ's


What is Summer Spotlight Camp?
A FUN, CREATIVE opportunity to learn acting, musical or technical skills­­ and put on a show!
Campers will perform (onstage or backstage) in our Spotlight Showcase for family and friends
at the end of camp on Friday to showcase what they've learned! 

Campers will have a choice of:
ACTING--In a small group, they will rehearse and perform a short scene.
MUSICAL THEATRE--In a medium sized group, they will rehearse and perform a song from a Broadway musical.
TECHNICAL THEATRE--In a small group, they will design, build and run the technical elements of the show.
When is Summer Spotlight Camp?
It is traditionally the Tuesday-Friday after Memorial Day from 9 AM - NOON at James Clemens High School
How much is Summer Spotlight Camp?
The cost is $75 per student
What does the cost include?
Instruction in the camper's chosen area of theatre, a camp t­-shirt, a daily snack and pizza after the Friday Spotlight Performance.
Who can attend Summer Spotlight Camp?
 Students who will be entering 2nd-9th grades in the upcoming school year.
Is this camp only for Madison City Schools students?
No. Any rising 2nd-9th grader who is interested in theatre and wants to have a fun week can attend.
How many students attend the camp?
Spots are limited to 125 campers. Make sure to register soon to secure your child's spot. We have sold out in previous years.  After we reach 125 campers, your child's name will be added to our waiting list.  We will notify you by email if your child is on the waiting list.  Payment will not be due until your child moves off the waiting list.
How do I register my child for camp?
Registration opens at the beginning of March each year.
