Parents of JC Theatre Students - We need your help!
MCS Volunteer Background Check
All volunteers for Madison City schools who will be around students must complete a background check through BIB.
Parents who are field trip chaperones or work as a volunteer at District Trumbauer need a background check.
If you work in the box office or concession stand or are an usher for a JCT show, you do NOT need a background check.
The background check cost is $15.50, and the volunteer pays for it.

JCT Booster Board Info
The JC Theatre Booster Board supports the theatre teachers and students by helping with the following tasks:
The JCT Booster Board is comprised of 6 people who agree to serve for at least one academic year. Any board vacancies for the upcoming school year will be announced in the spring to recruit new members.
- Organizing food for late rehearsals and tech week
- Recruiting volunteers to usher, work the box office, and run the concession stand for every JCT performance, as well as other theatre events
- Organizing fundraisers in the fall and spring
- Organizing fall and spring apparel orders
- Producing the Playbill and posters for the Fall One Act and Spring Production. (Buy an ad here!)
- Helping with data entry (including fee payment receipts) in the CutTime system
- Monitoring the theatre gmail account and this website
- Helping secure hotels, buses, and other needs for overnight field trips such as Trumbauer and ATF
- Helping the teachers with special requests such as specific tech needs or contacting local schools to attend any school performances
- Helping with registration and administrative tasks for Summer Spotlight Camp

Help organize local fundraisers (such as spirit nights at restaurants).
Publicity Committee
Help contact local businesses and organizations for sponsorships and ad sales.
School Show Committee
Help organize the school show in the spring.
Must be able to be at school to help on the day of the school show.
The school show is during the dates of the public performances for the spring play or musical.
Spotlight Camp Committee
Help with Spotlight Camp planning and purchasing.
Must be able to attend the first day of camp to help with registration.
Spotlight Camp is always Tuesday-Friday the week of Memorial Day.
